Association les plus belles baies du monde

Since the 90s, the need to reconcile tourism development and ecosystem preservation has been a preoccupation for industry players. The World's Most Beautiful Bays Club was founded in 1997, at the Berlin Tourism Fair. From one member to the next, the association became an international organization dedicated to tourism and sustainable development.

10 founding bays

Golfe du Morbihan, Baie d’Along, Baie de Somme, Baie de Tadoussac, Baie de Bodrum, Baie d’Agadir, Baie de Bantry, Baie de Porto Girolata, Baie du Mont Saint Michel, Baie de San Francisco

42 bays in 2024

(located in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas)

The association has set itself three missions: to bring together and encourage exchanges on environmental, social, economic and tourist themes; to enable the transfer of experience and expertise between the bays on promotion, protection, preservation, enhancement and sustainable development actions; to encourage, through its activities, social, cultural, sporting, commercial and industrial exchanges between the populations of the member bays.

To reach out to young people, the World's Most Beautiful Bays Association is organizing a drawing competition, open to all schools in member bays. It's betting on drawing as a vehicle for expression and awareness-raising.

In concrete terms, young people at elementary/primary level (under the age of 14) in each of the 42 bays located in Africa, America, Asia and Europe can take part. The competition allows them to express their views on three themes: water and the flora and fauna of my bay; water and the force of the winds; the earth and water, a source of life.

Supporting the project, the Veolia Foundation is also present on the competition jury via the participation of the project's godmother.
