In the Ménimur area of Vannes, the Acsomur employment company develops production activities and services for residents, businesses and local authorities.
To put an end to long-term unemployment, public and private players have come together around the "Territoires zéro chômeur de longue durée (TZCLD)" scheme. After a test phase initiated in 2017 around a dozen territories, the program was extended by the legislature at the end of 2020.
Among the Entreprises à but d'emploi (EBE) created as part of TZCLD, Acsomur is based in Vannes, in the Ménimur area. Acsomur's activities range from production, with the design of furniture from recycled pallet wood, sewing workshops, a recycling center (collection, sorting, repair), bicycle maintenance and repair, to market gardening (cultivation and sale).
More specifically, Acsomur is extending its services to local residents, offering do-it-yourself services, repair of small items of equipment, help with daily living, and administrative and IT support. The association is not forgetting companies and local authorities, to whom it plans to offer cleaning services for premises and vehicles, as well as plastic recycling.
The support of the Veolia Foundation has enabled the financing of a van and a cargo bike, to enable the association to provide services to residents and businesses. At the end of 2021, the Ministry of Labor will authorize the territory to become a link in the TZCLD chain, enabling the first recruitments to take place in January 2022. A clothing boutique will open at the end of 2023.
