The cell biologist Eric Karsenti has been awarded, on 23 September 2015, the Gold Medal of the CNRS 2015. Scientific director of the Tara Oceans 2009-2013 expedition, supported by Foundation Veolia, he has won one of the most selective scientific award in France.
This award covers the whole career of Eric in cell biology, especially on the cell division description, as well as the ambitious ongoing program Tara Oceans we made all together with the CNRS-INEE/INSB in the forefront,whose first results were published earlier this year.
