Supporting projects: the sponsor's role

Sponsors are all active or retired Veolia Environnement employees. They form the human link between the Foundation and the projects they support, throughout the world.

Sponsors who commit

Preparation

The sponsor is the project leader's interlocutor. He meets him, checks that his initiative complies with the Foundation's selection criteria, evaluates the project's technical feasibility and economic viability, possibly provides his advice for the compilation of the application. He forwards a justified opinion to the Selection Committee.

Monitoring

Once the project is approved, the sponsor hands over the grant check from the Foundation. He then stays in contact with the project leader. He monitors the progress of the project, ensures that the funds are properly spent, and, if necessary, provides his skills or those of his colleagues.

Evaluation

Once the project is completed, he drafts a report on its development and makes a first evaluation.

He is then free to continue his involvement by making his skills available to the project leader.
